EduFun Parenting Program can help children address a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, learning difficulties, behavior issues, loss and transition, and trauma with family and peer relationships. Successful child consultation is usually inclusive of multiple family members. Scheduling sometimes comes with resistance by children or other individuals in the family , we can help these present obstacles to accessing effective results. Especially when issues are discrete, parenting consultations can offer an alternative to help families resolve concerns about their children. With EduFun Worry less, Play more!
In contrast to EduFun Parenting Program , where parent guidance is one aspect of the healing process, parenting consultations focus on enhancing parents’ skills and giving them concrete tools to solve problems. The number of sessions can range from as little as two to several. In initial sessions, the consultant (who frequently is also a child) elicits information from each parent about their approach to parenting, including rules and consequences, and ways in which they communicate and interact with the children. The consultant generally also inquires about the children’s social and emotional development, activities and interests, relationships with family members, and friendships and supports. They might also ask about routines involving mealtimes and bedtimes, chores, and family rituals.
Other topics of investigation might include the nature of sibling relationships, and how parents support each other and coordinate their approaches.
As consults progress, parenting consultants help parents make changes that have a direct impact on children. Changes might include: new methods for imbuing children with feelings of security, safety, and love; techniques for encouraging positive behaviors; effective limit-setting strategies; and ways adults can best synchronize their approaches. Parent Forever!
The consultant and parents might also generate ideas about activities for children, develop strategies for better academic success, devise methods for managing influences outside of the family, and come up with ways that adults can better manage their own stressors . Our Parenting Program, where a specialist engages directly with children and other family members, is a successful method for addressing many of children’s challenges.

A parenting consultation can be beneficial for any parent with questions or concerns about his or her children and their development. Parenting can be challenging and stressful. A consultation can help parents feel emotionally supported while they learn new strategies for better communication, cooperation, and connection with their children. Parenting Consultations can be for any age, including newborns. Often parents, especially first-time parents, are overwhelmed with numerous questions when they bring their newborn home.
A Parenting Consultation, sometimes in just a few sessions, can work wonders in easing parents' anxieties, allowing them to lovingly and calmly connect with their new little bundle of joy. As babies grow older, toddlerhood brings a whole new set of questions and challenges from potty training, discipline, and sleep to eating, cooperating, sharing, and playing. For older children, parents often struggle with issues such as their children's self-esteem, social skills, learning challenges, and behavior at home and school. Advocacy and support surrounding school meetings is another avenue of consultation. At any age, a Parenting Consultation can provide you with answers to your questions, resources in your community, effective parenting strategies, and emotional support and guidance.
Consultations typically involve an initial meeting of 1 hour to develop the Evaluation Plan followed by approximately 1-5 additional sessions of 1 to 1 1/2 hours each. Each individual family has its own needs and timeline. Our model of Family-based consultations is convenient and flexible, allowing a schedule that best fits your lifestyle. Single Session consultations can also be highly effective in answering questions and concerns and for a developmental screening, and growth windows.
Every Consultation begins with a discussion and signing of an Informed Consent document. This document outlines the services that We provide, including our business policies and confidentiality. EduFun is ethically and legally bound to protect the confidentiality of any communications.
